Wagner wants to roll back Medicaid expansion, which would kick seniors out of their nursing homes and strip care from those suffering from substance use disorder.
Scott Wagner co-sponsored Senate Bill 3, which would have banned abortion after 20 weeks. He also supports a bill that would ban abortion at 6 weeks, before most women even know they are pregnant. Scott Wagner has also said he supports overturning Roe v. Wade.
Scott Wagner would follow in Trump’s footsteps and repeal The Affordable Care Act.
“And I am very sensitive and as an employer, I very much want to see Obamacare get repealed and obviously we will have to have something in place … I think the bigger thing that will help us will be the repeal of Obamacare.” Wagner Tele-Town Hall, 3/09/17
Governor Wolf expanded Medicaid, giving an additional 720,000 Pennsylvanians the health care they need, reduced Pennsylvania’s uninsured rate to its lowest point in history, increased enrollment in the Children’s Health Insurance Program by 20 percent, and legalized medical marijuana, providing long overdue medical relief to patients with serious medical conditions such as cancer & multiple sclerosis.
While Wagner has shamelessly advocated for rolling back women’s rights, Governor Wolf has championed those rights. He vetoed SB 3, the most anti-choice bill in the country, increased access to birth control, required that 3D mammograms be covered by insurance, launched “It’s on Us PA,” and signed an executive order aimed at combating the gender wage gap. Governor Wolf will continue to stand as the last line of defense against anti-women policies.
